Wagon stands for Warung Online, a payment service application for partnership-based businesses or individual merchants across Indonesia. Our challenge was to create a highly user-friendly app that is usable for everyone.


We delved into the branding process with Indonesian warung in mind; they are simple and practical. The name Wagon was derived from those qualities, emphasizing on something easy to remember.

Following that, we conducted extensive market research to examine the user behavior trends. From the findings, we concluded to aim for a friendly solution that not only suits what the audience needs, but is also easy to understand. Alongside this objective, we also developed a design with two primary colors – red and blue – to further integrate the friendliness of the app, as these hues are what dominate the warung tents and familiar to Indonesians’ eyes.
